Workshop on "Aggregation-Diffusion PDEs: Variational Principles, Nonlocality and Systems"
Workshop on "Aggregation-Diffusion PDEs:
Variational Principles, Nonlocality and Systems"
Anacapri, 10-14 July, 2017
This workshop is aimed at advancing the research in the field of Aggregation-Diffusion Partial Differential Equations (PDEs). They constitute the basic language in which most of the nonlocal phenomena, appearing for instance in swarming effects or in Levy processes in mathematical finance, can be written and one of the most important mathematical tools for modelling in life and socio-economical sciences. The modelling based on such PDEs and their mathematical analysis, complemented by the design of numerical schemes and their simulation in applications, are the main topics of the conference. We will concentrate on models where the non-locality of operators is the most important difficulty.
