Foreign high school diploma recognition
The enrollment procedure for Italian citizens holding a foreign high school diploma that has not already been declared equivalent to an Italian Secondary School Certificate by the Italian Provveditorato agli Studi is regulated by art. 147 of Laws on Higher Education.
The aforementioned citizens can submit their enrollment application, however, the application can be accepted only if the degree is also accompanied by a certificate issued by the Consulate and confirming the actual completion of studies abroad, with relevant documentation.
Indications regarding US and UK qualifications, as well as those relating to educational systems that comprise less than a total of 12 years and those involving a subsequent proficiency test are confirmed also for Italian citizens - unless they have the above mentioned equivalence declaration.
