Provide a basic knowledge of medical instrumentation.

Basics of signal processing.
General image characteristics, data acquisition
and image reconstruction.
2D Fourier and Radon transform.
X-ray planar radiography and computed tomography. X-rays, instrumentation, image characteristics, backprojection algorithms.
Nuclear medicine: Planar scintigraphy, SPECT
and PET/CT. Radiations, instrumentation, signal processing.
Ultrasound imaging. Sound wave propagation, tarsducers, scanning modes, Doppler ultrasound.
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Nucler magnetic resonance, scanner, acquisition sequences.
