Course description

Knowledge and understanding
Students should know and understand the managerial issues of public companies. Students should be able to know and understand the main approaches and trend of public management.
Applying knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, students should be able to identify the different methods and instruments to manage public companies.
Making judgments
At the end of the course, students need to develop the ability to interpret and critic public companies’ management and to decide the models and techniques, which are more useful in specific situations.
Communication skills
Students need to be able to answer in a precise and reasoned way to the questions posed during the written and the oral exam, using appropriate terminology.
Lifelong learning skills
In order to pass the exam, students need to demonstrate their capability to learn the different topics, and to discuss them also considering different and independently bibliographical resources.
At the end of the course, students should be able to apply previous knowledge on specific case studies in order to improve the interdisciplinary connection among different topics.

Although the length of each section depends on the background of the class, normally the content will be divided into 3 different blocks as follows
I BLOCK (8 HOURS)

III BLOCK (4 HOURS) E-government and smart city
