HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGEMENT
The aim of this course is to provide students a solid preparation for acquiring skills and competences for understanding and analyzing problems and questions related to building the relationship between the individuals and the organizations and to strategic and operational choices and optiong for strategically managing human resources within organizations with particular attention to organizations operating in tourism and international business. Expected learning outcomes
Knowledge and understanding:
The student will demonstrate to know about the dynamics of functioning with renard to the relationship between individuals and organizations, identifying human resource management policies that contribute to sustain human re source value cycle, the main questions and problems concerning human resource management in tourism organizations for value creation and welfare of communities, and with regards to information systems management.
Applying Knowledge and understanding:
The student will demonstrate to know how to apply the knowledge acquired in the theoretical part in order to face and solve questions regarding human resource management and to identify some paths of innovation for touristic destination and organization by analyzing study cases and exercises
The student will demonstrate awareness and ability to elaborate an own vision with regard to human resource management questions and policies and, in particular, with regards to processes of recruitment and selection of human resources, to touristic event management, by proposing satisfying solutions for solving problems.
Students will demonstrate the ability to acquire a technical vocabulary coherent with themes and topics of human resource management and communicate in a clear and appropriate way in specific contexts, with regards to management of internal relations and communication value and brand oriented, with regards to dialogue and relationship with trade unions.
Lifelong learning skills:
The student must demonstrate a good capacity of learning and application related to dynamics and questions concerning human resource management, to knowledge about practical case studies, and communicative functions, to study, by autonomous thought, themes and questions in university and post-university training and study.

Part III (8 hours) – Job design. Time and space flexibility. Job design and Absenteeism.
Part IV (8 hours) – Programming and acquiring lhuman resources within tourism organizations and international business.
Part V (8 hours) – Competencies and evaluation of human resources and tourism organizations.
Part VI (8 hours) – Rewarding human resources and tourism organizations.
The course is articulated in lectures, exercises, case studies.

Further detailed information will be provided in the classroom with regards of needs of training and education that will emerge through lecture and discussion.
The exam comprises: a written exam (20 points for four open questions: 40 minutes to solve); an oral exam (10 points). The assessment is the result of a synthetic evaluation of two trials.
Since 2020 April Covid-Call and until new communication and regulations by Governing Bodies of the University, the exam consists of a colloquium online at distance on Teams Platform. The colloquium is articulated in 5 open questions.
