Course description

Knowledge and understanding:
A scientific method to approach complex problems providing reasonable solutions where the costs are coped with benefits will be developed

Applying knowledge and understanding:
Those skills will be stimulated and improved though both theoretical and applicative lectures. The latter will take benefit of the electromagnetic lab that is equipped with several microwave devices and instruments.

Making judgements:
This skill will be improved since students will provided with the capability of developing/using complex models that describe propagation of microwave electromagnetic waves and microwave devices for both telecommunication and radar applications.

Communication skills:
Students will improve technical language by both theoretical lessons and by describing experiments carried on the microwave Lab

Learning skills:
Analysis of complex problems will let the student improving its comprehension skills by describing each complex problem using a scientific methodology.

Prerequisites

No formal prerequisite is applied. However, basic knowledge of electromagnetic field is strongly encouraged.
