Course description

The main goal of the course is to develop knowledge and understanding about organizational behavior, coordination mechanisms and organizational forms.
Students should be able of collecting and interpreting information referring to organizational problems; they should be able of providing possible and innovative solutions about organizational design and human resource management; they should be able of developing learning abilities in order to undertake subsequent studies with a high degree of autonomy.

Knowledge and Preferences; Decision and Motivation; Coordination Mechanisms: Pricing; Authority and Agency; Teams; Norms and Rules; Forms of Organization; The Organizational Configuration: A Generalized Model; The Work Organization and Human Resources Management: Systems and Contracts; The Work Organization: Structures; The Firm Organization; Firm Boundaries and Interfirm Organization.

Learning assessment
