Course description

The course set itself the goal to provide an appropriate knowledge base about survey, analytical and digital photogrammetry and data representation

Prerequisites

Sound knowledge of Topography, Mathematics I & II

Syllabus

Analytical photogrammetry: mathematical foundations and fundamental geometrical problems: spatial rototranslation and central perspective.

Photogrammetric theoretical foundations: data acquisition, stereoscopy, project planning, aerial data acquisition, ground control surveying, image orientation, photogrammetric restitution.

Digital photogrammetry: digital images processing: filtering and manipulation of gray tones. Image correlation methods for homologous points. Digital photogrammetric restitution.

Direct georeferencing: inertial sensors and GPS in the direct georeferencing of images.

Satellite photogrammetry: types of sensors; spatial, temporal, radiometric and spectral resolution; data processing.

Laser Scanning.

Land representation and analysis and final products.
