EU marketing law
The aim of the course is to provide for a high level of knowledge of the EU Law of competition through the analysis of cases study and EUCJ judgements.
Basic knowledge of the principles and rules governing the European Union
Competition law: the notions of undertaking and relevant market, rules applying to private conduct and the abuse of a dominant position, public undertakings and services of economic general interest, State aid; The reg. 1/2003 and the control power of the Commission and national Authorities on the application of competition law.
The rules on competition provided for under the TFEU, the secondary legislation and the ECJ case-law
Lesson in class, use of slides, analysis of case studies and other EU materials

and MATERIALS TO BE DOWNLOADED FROM THE DISEG WEBSITE (compulsory)
Midterm exam: (written test) on topics included in the first half part of the course. Not compulsory
At the end: Oral exam, in order to verify the level of the knowledge acquired, the methodology followed (and suggested during the course). The duration of the exam will be about 15-20 minutes for each student; 3 questions (only 1 or 2 if the student has participated in the mid-term).
Global and final mark:
written test (midterm exam): 50%
oral exam: 50%
