Course description

Knowledge and understanding:
The student will demonstrate that he has understood the process of formation of legal rules, the constitutional Italian architecture the legislation on tourism and cultural Heritage sectors.

Applying Knowledge and understanding:
The student must demonstrate knowledge of the sources of law, the constitutional organs of the state, the form of state and government. It will also have to know the division of competence of state-regions with particular reference to the tourism sector.

Making judgments:
The student will demonstrate knowledge of the role and functions of the individual sources of law and constitutional bodies.

Communication:
The student will demonstrate that he has acquired an adequate level in technical-legal language.

Lifelong learning skills:
The student will demonstrate, at the end of the course, knowledge of the Italian institutional system and its operating rules.

First and second Modules: Society and law - The State - Forms of State - Forms of Government – The Republic and the European Union - The Italian legal system - The sources of law - The Republic and its institutions (electoral body, Parliament, President of the Republic, Government, Judiciary, Regions, Constitutional Court) - Constitutional rights and duties. Third Module:Multilevel governance of tourism and cultural heritage

Teaching Methods

The course is organized in frontal lessons, in-depth seminars on specific topics, self-assessment tests.

Textbooks

First and second modules: Bilancia – De Marco, L’ ordinamento della Repubblica, Cedam, l.e.
Third module: Essays published in legal journals and loaded by the teacher on the Moodle platform.

Learning assessment

Oral exam, in order to verify the level of the knowledge acquired, the methodology followed (and suggested during the course). The duration of the exam will be about 15-20 minutes for each student; 3/4 questions.
