More specifically, the course aims to acquire the following skills and abilities:
I) Knowledge and understanding:
the course offers the tools to perceive the historical dimension of law, the existence of a legal system, the need for exegetical skills in the approach to legal texts.
II) Ability to apply knowledge and understanding:
The course is characterized by a critical and practical approach. It aims to encourage students to reflect on the implications of the sources examined: this aims to train an interpreter of law capable of applying the knowledge acquired on a theoretical level to the concrete case.
III) Autonomy of judgment:
The outlined methodological approach aims to stimulate the student's autonomy of judgment and his ability to critically interpret legal texts.
IV) Communication skills:
The consultation of ancient legal texts aims to favor both the acquisition of an adequate language and the development of dialectical and argumentative skills. Equal attention is paid to developing communication skills through multimedia tools.
V) Learning skills:
Learning ability is stimulated by the submission of specific texts to students. In addition, in-depth material is provided as part of the course.
