Course description

Knowledge and understanding:
The student will demonstrate comprehension of the process of formation of legal rules and of the constitutional Italian architecture.

Applying Knowledge and understanding:
The student must demonstrate knowledge of the sources of law, the constitutional organs of the state, the form of state and government. It will also have to know fundamental rights.
Making judgments:
The student will demonstrate knowledge of the role and functions of the individual sources of law and constitutional bodies.

Communication:
The student will demonstrate that he has acquired an adequate level in technical-legal language.

Lifelong learning skills:
The student will demonstrate, at the end of the course, knowledge of the Italian institutional system and its operating rules.

Syllabus

Society and Law-The State- Italian Form of State- Italian Form of Government- The sources of law- Legal rules and legal system- Natural person and legal person - Fundamental rights - The republic and its institutions (electoral body, Parliament, President of the Republic, Government, Constitutional Court). Learning check: Oral exam, in order to verify the level of the knowledge acquired, the methodology followed (and suggested during the course). The
exam will last about 15-20 minutes for each student; 3/4 questions.

Teaching Methods

The course is organized in frontal lessons, in-depth seminars on specific
topics, self-assessment tests.

Learning assessment

Oral exam, in order to verify the level of the knowledge acquired, the methodology followed (and suggested during the course). The exam will last about 15-20 minutes for each student; 3/4 questions.
