Course description

The aim of this course is to underline all the factors – cultural, economic and social- that historically influenced the performance of the Italian economic institutions, fostering the structural deficiency that contributed to undermine the state machine.

Learning assessment

This course wants to examine the essential profiles of a jurisdiction that considers the interdependency between the economic reality and the cultural background of the country, to understand which are the factors that influence the productive deficiency of the Italian economic system.
Specifically:
- Level of knowledge and understanding: the
course analyzes the factors that influence the general operation of economic institutions, considering mainly the effects produced by the cultural context where institutions operate.
- Capacity to apply knowledge and understanding: the course offers an interdisciplinary methodological approach that analyze in depth the interdependency between economic and political institutions.
- Autonomy of judgment: the described method, combined with a continue debate in class, allows to develop the autonomy of judgment and the student’s critical capacity,
- Communicational skills: the confrontation and the analysis of practical cases encourages communicational and declarative skills.
- Learning ability: the learning ability is stimulated thanks to class debates, confrontations and a continue link to Nowadays examples.
