The course aims to develop student’s skills and abilities in order to allow them to use the acquired knowledge and apply the principles and tools of sustainable management to the strategic and operational decisions of companies and organizations operating in the agri-food system. The learning objectives can be detailed as follows:
Knowledge and understanding: the student must demonstrate to understand the issues related to sustainable management issues in the agri-food system and to know the main tools that can be used to implement a sustainable strategy at companies and organizations level.
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: the student must demonstrate the ability to apply the acquired knowledge to practical cases. To this end, the lecturer will propose to students the realization of project works aimed at stimulating the application of the theoretical knowledge acquired to specific case studies.
Making judgments: the student must demonstrate the ability to apply the skills provided during the course with the development of specific case studies.
Communication skills: the student must be able to clearly present the acquired knowledge through the presentation of the assigned project works and during the oral examination.
Learning skills: the student must demonstrate a good learning ability and be able to deepen his / her knowledge on bibliographic references relevant to the field of study. This capacity is also necessary to carry out the specific in-depth analyses agreed with the lecturer.
