MODULO DI ELEMENTI COSTRUTTIVI
Constructive elements is a module in which the descriptive aspects of the technical-constructive elements of constructions are deepened. The course aims to provide students with the knowledge bases regarding the construction elements, including materials, whether simple or complex, and their use in place.
D1 -Knowledge and capacity for understanding
At the end of the course, the student will have to demonstrate that he knows how to implement the constructive procedures. The student will have to demonstrate knowledge of both traditional and innovative building elements, which are used in a construction and the rules that allow a construction to be carried out through them. The student will have to demonstrate that he or she knows the complex building organisation in general terms through its components.
D2 -Ability to apply knowledge and understanding
At the end of the course, the student must be able to find, recognize and interpret a construction as a homogeneous and congruent set of mutually interacting and interconnected elements.
D3 -Autonomy of judgement
At the end of the course, the student will have to be able to analyze and reconstruct the different building components of a building in order to arrive at the compilation of a catalogue of the elements employed and the satisfaction of the requirements regarding static safety and environmental comfort.
D4 Communication skills
At the end of the course, the student will have to demonstrate that he or she is able to present the knowledge acquired during the course.
D5 Learning Capacity At the end of the course, the student will have to demonstrate that he /she is able to find and learn independently other interactive and interconnected building elements designed to meet specific user needs.
The module's disciplinary and didactic approach is aimed at describing the constructive elements that are ordinarily used in constructions. It also partly addresses the theme of the technical-constructive characterization of constructions with a view to developing a knowledge of those systems that will then be studied in the specific disciplines in the continuation of the studies. The course aims to provide information parameters and operational tools for understanding the material, morphological, structural and functional properties of the building organism. The course allows students to develop operational tools to identify the succession of construction phases and which constructive elements intervene in these. The relationship between the figurative system and the technological system in buildings: the role of building elements within the building organism. The constructive principles and the geometric constructive principles. The construction equipment and the elements of the factory. The constructive process. Prefabrication and industrialization. Dimensional coordination on modular bases. Identification of the rules of aggregation and construction of the elements of the factory and definition of the technical requirements.
During the course the problems concerning the construction procedures and the constructive elements are studied in depth
both traditional and innovative, with particular attention to the constituent material, to the form and to the installation at
end of meeting the requirements regarding static safety and environmental comfort. The building organism
complex will be considered not as a simple sum of parts, but as a homogeneous and congruent set of
mutually interacting and interconnected elements designed to meet the precise needs of users.
The course is divided into thematic lessons and exercises.
