-Describe the effects of physical activity on the miokines relies and on health beneficial effects;
-Describe the effects of the Physical Activity on the hormonal modulation and on intermediate metabolism;
-Describe the effects of physical activity on the health;
-Describe the effects of physical activity on biochemical markers correlated to the health in Biological Fluids;
-Evaluate Physical Fitness tests in subjects with different pathologies including cancer;
-Describe the principles of APA protocols accepted by ACSM for the prevention and management of CNTD (Chronic non Transmissible Diseases) and for the healthy aging;
-Evaluate the effects of APA and sport training on the healthy ageing;
-Describe the molecular effects of drugs adopted in the Doping and ABP: implications on the sportsman health.

ATP-Practical skills
The students will gain the following practical skills :
-To Assess the Physical Fitness grade in subjects with chronic-degenerative diseases;
- To plan and oversee AFA protocols in subjects with chronic-degenerative diseases;
- To plan and oversee AFA protocols in older subjects to promote healthy aging.
-To plan and oversee AFA in women and in cancer .

Prerequisites

-Assessmentof cardiorespiratory fitness through GXT tests even in a risk populations;
-Assessment of the muscular form in fragile subjects;
-Assessment of joint flexibility and ROM also in fragile subjects;
-SFT and their application;
- Evaluation of static and dynamic equilibrium even in fragile populations;
-To Assess the Physical Fitness grade in subjects with chronic-degenerative diseases;
-To plan and oversee AFA protocols in subjects with chronic-degenerative diseases

Textbooks

P. Buono. “ Attività Fisica per la Salute”, seconda edizione, Idelson Gnocchi editore, Napoli, 2018;
Updated scientific literature on the topics covered.

Learning assessment

Intermediate tests; final exam; oral exam.
Intermediate tests will reserved only to the attendant students. The students will perform n.3 intermediate tests containing n.3 open items,60 min/each test. all tests will be scored in 30/30, 18/30 is the minimum to achieve the exam. At the end of the course the student will attend to the oral exam deputed to the evaluation of competence acquired in the fields of programming, administration, evaluation of AFA programs on the improvement of health and fitness in subjects with CNTD and in the elderly (related to the Practical Skills) scored in 30/30.
Intermediate tests will be considered valid only once and only for the summer sessions (June or July or September). Those who will not participate to the intermediate tests, or who will not achieve the sufficiency (18/30) as final evaluation, or who will reject the final evaluation, will perform an oral exam focused on complete program, on the competence of practical skills and on the capacity of problem solving.

NB: The student that not attend to the ATP activities, can perform these activities at gym affiliated to the DISMEB or to gym that declares the availability to allows the students for the ATP. For this, the students could take a register in the department that will be completed and delivered at the exam.

If the oral examination fails, next time the student will have to repeat the oral exam focused on the program and the ATP.
