Course description

The course aims to enrich students' basic knowledge with more advanced methods of structural analysis that make use of nonlinear models and automatic calculation tools for finite elements.

Prerequisites

Structural Mechanics. Fundamentals of Matlab programming.

Syllabus

The topics treated in the Course are the following ones:
(1) Nonlinear constitutive laws
(2) Energy principles and variational methods
(3) Fundamentals of the finite element method
